Welcome to the Wonderfully Weird Riddles of Wind Lane
This is my section for testing the intelligence of the average web weird person. I will put up ten riddles and they stay up until the next update. If someone is able to answer all ten themselves then they get special recognition. Otherwise, names of people who answer riddles correctly are just posted in the Riddle Archive. If you got a riddle for me I'd love to here it. Send them here. If you want to give me a challenge, don't send me the answer until I ask for it.
The Riddle Archive - This is where you go for the answers to riddles gone by.
The Riddles
You eat something you neither plant nor plow.
It is the son of water, but if water touches it, it dies.
I have two arms
but fingers none
I have two feet
but cannot run
I carry well
but I have found
I carry best
with my feet OFF the ground
What am I?
Teacher
open thy book
You can make these
and follow these
but never lead them.
They can be straight
and sometimes bent
but when broken
they remain the same
What are they?
Two horses
swiftest travelling
Harnessed in a pair
and Grazing ever in places
Distant from them
An eye I have
but I see not
I cry tears
but I feel not
Without a mouth
I breathe
without feet
I move
What am I?
What has a coat?
Hugs you not in sympathy?
Whose smile you'd rather not see?
Whose stance is a terrible thing to see?
Who is it that brave men run away from?
Whose fingers are clawed?
Whose sleep lasts for months?
And who's company we shunt?
It goes up
but at the same time goes down
Up toward the sky
and down toward the ground
It's present tense and past tense too
come for a ride
just me and you
What is it?
What regularly changes shape
yet remains a sphere
is always there
but often not seen?
You seized me
and yet I fled
You see me flee
and cannot hold me tight
You press me in your hand
then your fist is empty
What am I?
